Dallas, Texas (USA)

Howdy Y'all from Dallas/Fortworth, Texas - home of the well known Long Horn.

Stage 2 of my Nuffield travels is well under way and after organizing a suitable vehicle, our journey begins by farewelling Texas and onto our first visit at Ardmore, Oklahoma 110miles north of Dallas.

...but not before checking out a local tourist hotspot, Fortworth Stockyards!!!  And hotspot it sure is...  wooeeee!  This place is hot...  but regardless we walked the streets of Fortworth Stockyards and took in all the western shops and sights.
Braxton - "too hot, too tired"
We even ventured to Billy Bob's - worlds largest western dance floor, pro bull riding, live music, bars, pool hall and famous people hand wall - Johnny Cash and Dwight Yoakham!!!!

Through the words in his music, Johnny Cash played his part during my recovery. He always knew the right thing to say to lift Sare and my spirits and in fact many of my families' spirits in those early days after my accident during rehabilitation. So it was awesome to see prints of his hands on a wall at Fortworth Stockyards.
All Time Legend - Johnny Cash's Hand Prints - "small hands hey!"
Our boys couldn't resist a ride on the long horn!
So now we leave our cosy hotel and head to Oklahoma, Ardmore...and so the tours begin!!!
Catch You Later!
Rob
